We need a sustainable solution for this problem. The thread here doesn’t change much (as you can see). You can also see your “unverified rums” in the system. The problem is that there’s not enough capacity available to look into it. Why a post here should speed up the process is unclear to me. And the fact that some rums get into the fast lane through splits and public interest (e.g., FS Supernum et al.) should simply be on the radar by itself. Just my 2 cents.
Maybe unverified rums should appear as such in the search for everyone and be able to gain the status “verified” through votes and/or reviews. Just as an idea, so I’m not just complaining.

Community moderators who could release the EU would also be an option. There would certainly be some trustworthy candidates.

There’s a lot of work involved in making sure the rum isn’t already there, etc.

Exactly. I reckon we’ll find plenty of trustworthy candidates here who could take this on and then just need to get it approved by @Jakob or @Oliver 
or maybe even get the rights to approve it themselves.

It would be great to find a solution regarding the flow of new entries that are still pending, because it will keep going and if more people make entries (sometimes for the same rum) that will be a out of control.
Not only that, and to join the topic that @KevinDK made this evening with the GRF, it would ideal if all the rums from the upcoming Whisky Live were integrated in the database (as they have leaked for 95% of them).

It took a while, but I’ve now gone through the listed rums, double-checked them, and approved them where possible. I couldn’t find some entries anymore — either they were already approved or they didn’t go through.

Oli and I have already discussed the database maintenance topic several times, and believe me, we’re grateful for any help. 
Unfortunately, the current permission model in RumX isn’t set up in a way that would allow us to simply enable database access for new users. It’s not a matter of lack of trust, but rather technical complexity.
Of course we’ll keep working on it, but so far we simply haven’t been able to find a tangible solution.

We’ve added the Whisky Live bottlings from the catalogue ahead of the fair in all of the past years and we plan to do so as well in 2026. Please don‘t forget that this remains a side gig for almost everyone including myself. I have seen the catalogue first time a few days ago, however did not find the required time to add all the bottles to the database since then. If anyone wants to give it a push and upload the bottles, that would of course be a great help. 
For other events like GRF, the challenge is even bigger since most of the festival releases are not communicated ahead of the fair and a good amount did not even appear in shops yet, meaning that information on the bottles is hard to obtain if you weren’t at the fair. I‘ve added some bottles based on images shared on the community thread, but I suppose that not all bottles and their details were posted or submitted to the database.

I could not find the submission in the database unfortunately. Can you still see it in the app? If yes, can you send me screenshots of the submission please so I can manually add it?
