Liest sich eigentlich ganz gut. Beim Great House muss man allerdings dazu sagen, dass Serge einen ausgeprägten Hampden-Bias hat.

I often have personal taste differences with Serge Valentin, but I have the impression that this is increasingly the case…
And it’s a good thing, since bottles rated 90+ are bought directly by a whole bunch of people who don’t look any further than the WhiskyFun rating. I’d rather see Serge V. give 80s to the rums I like

All these people using “rotting fruit” in their reviews… I wonder if it’s from actual experience. Saying this as a person who had his fair share of rotten tropical fruits (mostly my fault for not paying attention what I bite into) and the very last thing I want, actually just before the very last thing, is “rotten fruits” armoas.
Yes, I get it, but then use “overripe” pls.

Haha ye, I guess it’s in the sense of a comparative: Fruit → ripe fruit → overripe fruit → rotten fruit.
Note to self: don’t throw out that pineapple with the brown spots … keep it for sience.

We have the smell in the food garbage container here where the food leftovers are sorted. There is a destinct difference between overripe and rotting fruit

You don’t, really. Although rotten pineapple is not nearly as bad as rotten mango, for example (which tastes nothing like normal/ripe mango would).
@KevinDK Have you tasted said rotten fruits? Thought so
You can associate the smell with a taste. I don’t think anybody tasted glue, but it’s present in several rums on the palate
