Pre-ordered this bottle. Had the chance to sample this rum last week, looks like this one will join the “bottles that I’ll never open” section of the rum shelf. 
I tried the Swell Fiji as well which I liked a little better than this TDL.

The Fiji was indeed very strong, and it actually blows my mind that this TDL was sold out quasi instantly on Rhumattitude, yet the Fiji is still available weeks later.

I agree.
TDL is the new hot thing in the rum world. That’s probably why it sold out so fast. I have been disappointed with the Swell releases for a while now and will buy no more until another Hampden or something that I can’t resist comes along. The Foursquare for Versus will definitely be skipped. I find that not only Swell but a lot of the other recent releases have been a little disappointing.

Einen 20 Minuten abgestandenen HLCF Classic finde ich auch ziemlich gut, um Gästen mal vorzustellen, was Hampden so kann, ohne gleich für Überforderung zu sorgen.

Ich kenne diese Brennerei schon sehr lange kaufe jedes Jahr den Eierlikör und es ging mit dem Elixir Jamaica 22y los mittlerweile 30y 
bin gespannt… leider etwas verdünnt aber MUSS ja nicht immer schlechter sein … in diesem Sinne Prost

Wisdom comment. The best deals now are on the quiet secondary market for choice releases from a few years ago. (Even though I must admit I couldn’t resist buying the new great house like all the other hungry hippos posting here rn).

I found the Long pond for cave St Seurin very good!
I also tasted the new foursquare at salon du rhum in spa and it’s also very good, if you like the first one, this one is a bit better I think.
I liked the Fiji, a bit different from other Fiji, you like it or not, and for me the price was very good (it was sold 80€ at salon du rhum)

I didn’t open my bottle of the St Seurin Long Pond yet. I heard good things about it. All the other Swell recent Swell releases did not blow me away except for the Bielle Blanc.
I will not purchase the new Foursquare but will try to get a sample.
The Fiji was good but I wouldn’t purchase a bottle of it.
