Hello,

Does anybody have some infos about it?

Berive (the name of the new Distillery) was actually at the WL26, tbh I didn’t take the time to taste it, but that seems interesting and it will be soon in the market

Dug a bit and I found an Instagram post from rhumclubfrance that was at a launch event

See the bottle below and tasting notes (in French)

This first organic agricultural white rum, bottled at 56% and produced in 1,000 bottles, opens with a sweet, vegetal and fresh nose, strongly marked by sugarcane juice.

On the palate, the profile gains in finesse and concentration. Slightly citrusy and floral notes then emerge, followed by toasted and praline touches.

In the mouth, the vegetal character returns with intensity. The rum has considerable volume, with a substance that is both full-bodied and elegant. The freshness is accompanied by lovely pastry notes, which notably evoke apple tart.

The finish is fresh and indulgent, with a very clear return to sugarcane juice.

I found this first release particularly successful. But beyond the glass, what struck me most during this presentation was the enthusiasm of Cyril, Marie and Jérémie when they talk about Bérive.

And this first release is just the beginning: part of the production has already been placed in casks for future maturation.

I tried it too and I’m on board — a really delicious white agricole. The reduction to 56% also fits perfectly into the picture, extremely aromatic and at the same time pleasantly balanced to drink. It’s been a real discovery for me and one of those rare cases where I might actually pick up a bottle of white rum to both mix with and drink neat. But it’s supposed to cost around 60–70€ for the 70cl.
