Hey everyone! Some really exciting news that this thread earned. 
@Florent_Apl (many of you know him from the app and the forum) is a professional data scientist, and together we’re starting something we’ve wanted to do for a long time: a proper, data-driven deep dive into Guyana marks. Not the history (Marco, Matt and others have covered that beautifully), but the empirical side nobody has been able to do yet: what do the marks actually taste like, measured across ~25,000 community ratings of ~1,700 Guyana bottlings on RumX? Flavor profiles per mark, PM vs EHP vs ICBU side by side, backed by real numbers. It will be published as a knowledge-base article on rumx.com, with the full methodology open - researched and written by @Florent_Apl. From the community, for the community, so to say. 
Which brings me to why I’m posting here first:
This thread is the reason the analysis is possible. RumX has no complete mark field. The wiki table you’ve built and maintained for five years is the best mark reference that exists anywhere. We’d like to use it as the canonical dictionary for mapping our ~1,700 Guyana bottlings to marks.
And one more thing that should be fun: The extraction has already run, and here’s the honest picture: bottle names almost never carry the mark (49 of ~1,700). The human-curated marks cover the famous bottlings, but a long tail is unmapped. Florent is doing a first verification pass from the bottle label photos in the database and the cases that photos can’t settle (missing picture, unreadable label, broker mysteries) will land here in this thread, where they belong:
- We will post the unresolved list once Florent’s pass is done: Ambiguous marks, bottles without photos, and the “Broker?” puzzles the wiki already flags.
- If you know a bottle’s mark: reply here, or even better, use “Report wrong data” directly on the bottle in the app. That way your correction lands in the RumX database itself and improves both the app and every future analysis snapshot.
- When the article launches, we’ll open this up to the whole community (“help us complete the Guyana map”). This thread gets the head start it deserves.
If anything about this doesn’t sit right, say so. This only works as a from-the-community, for-the-community project.
