Your best homemade blend?

Hello everyone,

I don’t know if like me when you taste multiple rums you think “those are amazing ! But… What would be if I mix the two…?”.

So, sometimes with the remaining few centiliters of my bottles, I try some homemade blend.

I thought that would be a good topic to share our best discovered blends. Have you tried that ?

Recently, I tried to mix a STCE 2010 from velier (65%) with an Albion 2004 from el dorado (35%). The result was simply amazing!

Cheers!

We had a community blind tasting “make your own blend” a while ago.

Interesting topic. I’ve mostly refrained from creating my own blends but have recently tried to mix RX22024 (NY) with RX25891 (Bellevue). The result was surprisingly good, not unlike a really nice Navy Rum. I’m convinced there is a lot of potential here….

Definitley very good blend. Liked it a lot :+1::hugs:. I also like to blend. Have a 50/50 NY 2005 and LP 2005 Blend in a bottle. Not tried it yet. Also liked my last “Navy Blend”. Had some KFM in it (20%). Worked very well with 2003 TDL (40%), 2005 LP (20%) and 2019 HGML (20%). I think there are very many ways to blend Rums. Importend is to let it rest for some time. At least some days if not weeks. The taste will change.
