Whisky Live Paris 2026

Here are also a few impressions from the trade show on my end. I barely had time to post and take notes in the meantime. There was so much going on at the show and you keep stumbling into great conversations between all the different booths and things get out of hand pretty quickly. I particularly enjoyed the time with @TheRhumHoe, @cigares, @righrum and @StefanPersson. Spending time with the people behind the RumX avatars was absolutely the highlight of the trade show for me. Shout-outs to you all.

The Savanna stand was run by the 3 girls from our Masterclass. That was a lot of fun. At the RumX Community Meetup, we got to taste some exciting upcoming releases (the new The Very Rare Cask, a HERR with Cognac finish (absolutely amazing!)) and one of the members even brought out a bottle of the legendary RX378 for this festive community occasion. Insane!

Other highlights were:

  • A 2017 TDL from Colours of Rum at 47% (as Jakob already mentioned above)
  • The new Nine Leaves really got me, and after the rather disappointing last round, I really liked the 3rd series again. Especially the one from the white wine cask (RX26626) - my absolute favorite. Outstanding stuff.
  • I also really loved the 83 Islands from HV (RX26621). It reminded me of Rhum Rhum, but a bit wilder and fresher.
  • The Mizunara Cask from Nelson (The Artist Series. RX26574) was absolutely killer. But it has a corresponding price tag too… :grimacing::money_mouth_face:
  • The Eminente 14 Gran Reserva (RX25639) really impressed me as well. I picked up a bottle right away at the shop (see also here)
  • I also really loved the Velier trade show bottling (17-year-old Worthy Park at cask strength. RX26748). I picked up a bottle at the shop as a keepsake.
  • One of the highlight booths was also Gourmet Pool (RX25229, RX25635). Big shout-out to the founder Leo. It was a blast talking about his philosophy and the future. You should definitely keep an eye on them in the future, some really cool stuff is coming.
  • One of the highlights was also the DBM 16 ans Single Cask at 58.3% (RX26749). A brutally amazing fruit bomb. I wanted to grab a bottle, but it was already sold out at the trade show shop. Maybe I’ll stop by Excellence Rhum tomorrow. :innocent::shopping_bags:

I think that’s enough highlights now, right?:tumbler_glass:

P.S.: Jakob and I captured a lot of impressions from the show this time. So you can look forward to a cool YouTube video on https://www.youtube.com/@rumxapp/. But now I have to get all the editing done. So give me a few more days… :innocent::tumbler_glass:
