Best cover ever for an australian rum ![]()
Dachte schon es ist Crocodile Dundee…
All clichés served ![]()
There should also be a Rastafari guy on every jamaican rum…
I wonder when the remaining casks from Caroni will be empty. It seems like there is more Caroni on the market than it has ever been distilled ![]()
I think that we’re good to go for half a decade or more… ![]()
It seems so because the batches are released in very small quantities. Pure marketing…
Absolutely right, when Velier produced some classic issues (12-15-17-21-100th) it was around 10’000 bottles or more and these days only single casks are realeased, around 280 bottles, not the same for sure.
Interesting, especially since Kilchoman is also still relatively new. Any other examples of Whisky distilleries building a new rum distillery outside of the UK?
Really interesting news. Richard Seale won’t be happy about the competition, but Kilchoman will probably have a tough start amongst all the well known and renowned distilleries on the island.
Hey interesting! I’ll ask my seller about this!
I can’t wait to know the release price of this bottle.
Do you think it will be sold as fast as the last bottles were (despite the price) ?
Swell de Spirits isn’t cheap so the bottle will probably be expensive. The Swell NY 94 and the Uitvlugt are still available because they are overpriced.
Given this is a Caroni it should sell out rather fast if they price the bottle correctly.
In addition to this Swell has built up a fan base that will buy anything they release.
589€ with the wood box and shipping ![]()
Despite being one of the Swell fans, I won’t be in this time.

Now that’s what I call greedy. For a 50cl bottle…… ![]()

They have to pay the barrels they had to buy to get a Caroni. ![]()
(The Easy Peasy might be a blend of these barrels)
I will have to change my profile picture soon ![]()
Speaking of Caroni. This podcast is quite interesting:
I don’t like all of the episodes, but I recommend this one for understanding the history of Caroni a bit more.
Steffen’s episode was quite educational for me. I can recommend the Beenleigh episode (from a historic point of view) and the TCRL episode (from a marketing point of view) as well.
