Interesting. Never heard about these guys. It looks like they originated from a Facebook group.

91 KFM isn’t the most exciting thing, but the price is very competitive… wasn’t the Bellamy’s 450-ish?!

They don’t even mention if the rum was aged tropical or continental on their labels which is a big fail in my opinion. I will definitely not buy a bottle blind.

With regard to the price my guess is continental ageing.

Hm, that is a pretty high standard. I wouldn’t be so harsh, might be info that you can’t even reliably get from the broker.

Edit: Afaik none of the 91 KFM have that info on the label. Prove me wrong :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Most likely the same, than all the other 91 KFM ageing-wise. The Diamond 2004 is a colored one like RA and TRC had before.
Having a particular statement about the ageing on the label is still rare and nothing to blame them for imo.

Sorry, I’m drunk and get easily agitated

That’s my French side, never happy with anything :joy:

It’s mostly a newcomer with no name recognition so they can’t post prices that known bottlers can.
31 years tropical would scare me from the wood effect. On a rum that old, Continental aging is not a bad thing imo.

Hoe do you know? There is this batch of uncolored Versailles in 2004 as well

Maybe from the back label text? “Copper in color, a secret recipe that’s only known to DDL”

Actually the mark “MDXC” and the color.

Discovered them this morning and asked them, if they ship to Germany. They do. 95 for a colored 2004 is pretty cheap nowadays and I like the last RA and TRC a lot.
Was thinking about a bottle split for both releases, but not sure if I want to do a split atm.

I can make the split with the kfm.
But tomorrow, no time tonight, i’m already packing samples :joy:

Haven’t read the mark. I enjoy the MDXC Batch 95€ is fair.
If you do a split, count me in.

…which is not stated on the label, or am I blind!?

The photo from the article is pretty unambiguous, though

At least according to RX13373 the mark “MDXC” is correct.

Ye. Doesn’t seem to be on the label. RumX and the Tasting Bros article mention MDXC and if I got it right, Antoine from Tasting Bros also took part in choosing the 2 barrels, that were bottled in the end.
