Gentlemen, there is a bottle at a local auction that I would like to know more about. Is it familiar to anyone? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
As far as I see:
The main part - "Distillé du jus de canne à sucre"
The overall presentation:
“Vieux Rhum”
43% ABV
0.66L
thin old-style paper label
archaic typography
As I know, the 0.66L format is a old European bottle size, which additionally suggests a pre-war or immediate post-war era origin.

I was able to find some other bottles of St.Michel, that was sold earlier and its pretty interesting:
The trail leads to someone knows as “Egyptian Vineyards & Distilleries Co.” and it seems like this company in 20th century was a former exporter of “alcholol” to Soviet Union Country’s.
So it’s entirely possible:
Either it’s rum imported from French colonies and bottled in Egypt.
Or a locally produced product in the French style.
Or a contract brand for the region’s French-speaking market.
