Safe moving of bottles

Hello!

I have a bit of a specific question but I’m sure some of you already went through that

I’m moving to a new place in the coming weeks and so I have to move my collection  in total it should be about 120 bottles to move

Do you have any recommendations to give to move them safely?

Would you keep them in the cardboard boxes or get them out and fold the boxes to prevent damages

Thanks!

Hey, I moved about 3 years ago and had around 150 bottles (including wines) to transport. Since it was only a 20-minute drive, I handled the move myself over several trips, reusing the packing materials each time.

I drove very carefully, of course. Whenever possible, I placed the bottles back in their original boxes, then put them into moving cartons with some bubble wrap for extra protection. Honestly, it wasn’t that complicated, bottles are usually quite sturdy, so it would take a major accident to actually break them.
Good luck!

I moved three years ago with my bottles. I covered them with newspaper paper and put them in a regular (robust with double base) moving box. Worked out perfectly fine.

Same Here. Used the “good” Moving Boxes and drove a few times, so i was sure everything is save. Put something soft in between the bottles and drive carfully. Should work fine.

I moved this year. I had many closed bottles, which I had kept in the boxes that were used to ship them to me. This worked great.

If you don’t have these anymore, any sturdy box will do (not the boxes you buy at Action). Make sure you make compartments, or separate them with paper, textile or whatever you can find.

As long as the boxes are not over-packed, it should go fine.
