Die komplette Serie von Don Papa und Zacapa steht beim in noch äääh irgendwo Rum. Ist auch noch nicht so lange her.
Bei mir hat es mit Centenario und Flor de Cana angefangen. Den Centenario trinke ich auch heute immermal wieder gerne. Obwohl er damals in Costa Rica schon noch besser geschmeckt hat 
Meine Anfänge hatte ich mit Bacardi Cola 
schon vor laaaaaaaanger Zeit . Später kam kurze Zeit die Süßrum Phase mit Don Papa, Centenario usw.. Botucal durfte auch nicht fehlen den trinke ich tatsächlich heute noch gelegentlich vorallem mit Cola (der alten Zeit wegen:face_savoring_food:)
Ist bei mir auch so.
An manchen Abenden überlege ich was würde mir heute wohl schmecken.
Dann stehe ich vorm Schrank und wenn ich mich nicht entscheiden kann wird es auch mal eine schon länger offene Flasche wie den Damoiseau 1953 , Santiago de Cuba Siglo 1/2 oder Rum Nation Panama 25 1995.
Ich habe mit Mount Gay Eclipse angefangen im Rum’n’Cola (1980) 
Heute gibt’s den Eclipse Navy Strength und der ist auch gut als Skipper 
Den Dos Maderas 5+5 und den Centenario 20 oder 25 trinke ich auch heute manchmal noch ganz gerne.
Mein erster Rum war tatsächlich der Plantation XO und ein paar einfache Cuba.. danach ging es ziemlich schnell Richtung Hampden.
Naja, und damit war ich in der Rumwelt gefangen 
Rum’n coke started it (Bacardi and Havana Club) HC7 is still a nice combo with coke, although it’s heavy on the caramel nowadays.
The gateway rum was Plantation XO. I got my first bottle as a gift from one of my best friends for becoming the godfather of his son. Back then, it was the best rum I’ve ever tasted. Onward to things like Diplmatico and such.
After that it took me a while to get where I am today, not only in time but also in rums. Stuff like Lazy Dodo (really liked the chocolate notes) and Demon’s share (disliked it from the fist sip) comes to mind.
The Plantation tropical birds series Clarendon and Doorly’s 14 were the the final steps towards real heavy and concentrated cask strenght rums.
Where oh where wil the rabbit hole end? 
To me it was rum nation Panama 10y old and later still a guilty pleasure cihuatan nahual. Also a big fan of hechicera banana edition. Never been a fan of zacapa, botucal etc. It has always been way too sweet for me
Der Unhig XO ist wahrscheinlich mein Guilty Pleasure. Habe mir jetzt für 60€ noch einmal die alte Abfüllung geholt. Natürlich für den Besuch der einen milden Einstieg braucht 
. Ansonsten kann ich Spirit Drinks wirklich nicht viel abgewinnen. War nie ein großer Fan. Centenario hatte ich 2012 auch mal. Fand den damals ziemlich gut, aber hatte auch keine Ahnung. Wurde dann schnell durch Plantation abgelöst. Trinidad 1999 und Barbados 2000. Das war der Start. Dann wurde es immer trockener und trockener 
PS: Botucal ist mein Go to Summer Outdoor Rampage Besäufnis Rum. Wenn es einfach wild wird und Abschiss der einzige Ausweg. Da hab ich schon zwei drei lustige Outdoor Haltestellen Bottlekills gehabt 
… natürlich ohne Glas direkt aus der Flasche
