I have little experience with fruit eau de vie and the Roner reserv was the only sparring partner at hand.
The Roner is thoroughly outclassed, though the ‘concrete spirit’ does present rather thin (should have been 45%+).

One of the bottles that’s well overdue to get emptied but it has held up quite well (the finish has suffered a little but the nose has kept getting better).
The Sauternes* cask influence is quite heavy but it works quite well, giving especially the nose a very desert-like quality.
*“vin blanc moelleux, prestigieux”, I think it’s Sauternes

Bielle got that wrong, though, Sauternes is classified as a “vin blanc liquoreux”, “vin blanc moelleux” refers to white wines with 12-45g/L residual sugar.

Wirklich etwas besonderes, zum heiligen Gral reicht es aber nicht.

Nein.
Ich fand den sehr beliebig und wenn man den blind und unerwartet ins Glas bekommt, sprich Faktoren wie 70s PM, Velier, Seltenheit etc keine Rolle spielen und ausgeklammert sind bin ich sicher, dass der bei kaum jmd die 85 Pkt. knackt.

Da hast du schon Recht, die Erwartungshaltung war extrem hoch und wurde nur zum Teil erfüllt.
Preis Leistung stimmt hier auf keinen Fall mehr. Aber hey bin trotzdem froh ihn verkosten zu dürfen.

Flaschen sind angekommen. Abgefüllt wird am Wochenende. Die Nase vom IdR ist schon mal hervorragend 
der KFM ist sowieso einfach
