Of my little tasting, the Velier wins in the end. It’s perfectly balanced between wood and spirit, complex and powerful.

It’s the opening of the bottle, review will follow later. I concur with @DomM his review with respect to burnt sugar. It’s almost getting bitter in the mouth. A splash of water doesn’t help, it allows for the spicy notes to pop up.
I hope I will be friends with the bottle over time…

@KevinDK gave us the tip to really let it rest for a while (30+ Minutes) before tasting it. It really gets much better after that IMHO

I did, it gets a bit better indeed. But it’s still there. Next time I will give it an hour to breathe or so.
