Hab mir jetzt auch mal für den Erstkontakt 1cl vom RC Bielle eingeschenkt.
Erinnert mich im Mund erst mal an den 2014er Brut de Fut, welcher auch Kontakt mit einem französischen Süßweinfass hatte, allerdings im Vergleich dazu doch auf Steroiden, wobei die 75% mega gut eingebunden sind.
Der lange Abgang ist jedoch für mich zum Niederknien schön.
Schon ein sehr geiler Agricole, vielleicht keine 9.0, aber zumindest nahe dran.

Kann auch ein Weißweinfass gewesen sein, das wissen die Experten aus der Berlin Bubble sicher besser.

Erinnert mich jedenfalls vom Profil her an diese polarisierenden Rum mit Süßwein Finishes wie den genannten.

This is exceptional. I got some other notes than I read in the reviews. I found it funkier than I thought I could read from others, but furthermore very complex and balanced. A lot of wood, spice, dark fruit, but also sweeter notes.

This approaches the 9.0 score for me.

@Gunnar wisst ihr da mehr zu dem Fass? Ich hatte mal einen aufgespriteten Azoren-Wein im Glas, der hatte neben ordentlich Säure auch eine recht süßliche Honig-Note

Vinho Branco do Pico, eine herkunftsgeschützte Bezeichnung. Pico ist eine Insel der Azoren. Rebsorte kennen wir nicht, vermutlich eine Cuvee.

I think it’s great, but I cannot be objective about it…

because I was asked for it….

both are very tight and the price difference cannot be justified. I gave the 70 anniversary 0.1 up but blindly tested I doubt if one can spot the difference. The 70th is slightly more balanced and intense, longer finish, but the sample of the Destino already had a bit oxidation, which helped. Well, basically the same rums. But very good ones!
