According to all Community Ratings on RumX, this wee Port Mourant 1964 ranks third out of more than 24,000 rums in our database. Pretty crazy that it’s still available. Personally, I’d call it the best rum in the world.
Fun fact: in the whisky universe of Whiskybase, the current No. 3 is the legendary Samaroli Laphroaig 1967—priced at an insane €66,000. That’s more than seven times the price of this rum.
If you ask me, it’s something everyone should try once in a lifetime—say, by rounding up 20 friends and sharing it on a wild night.
And honestly, if I were a rum collector or looking to diversify my portfolio… well, grabbing that rare motherfu**er wouldn’t be the worst idea.
