Could be a 2016 vintage, since itâs 10 years old. Not many have hit the market yet.
Maybe the other half of the cask will come to market later.
But it could also be a sister cask to the very delicious RumClub bottling RX24839.
Okay, you were faster than weâd have liked
Here are the official details with more context:
Distilled at Foursquare on Barbados. 10 years aged 100% tropically, in ex-bourbon casks, pot & column still. No sugar, no filtration, no color. And the 51.61% in the title is exactly what it looks like: the angelâs share. More than half has evaporated over the years. Whatâs left, weâre bottling. Pure, at full cask strength. ![]()
The key details are now on the The-Origin page: Four lines are still pixelated. On Tuesday (August 18th, 10:00 a.m.) weâll reveal three of them: bottler, alcohol content, and release size. After that, exactly one line remains blurred and you can probably guess which one ![]()
Regarding the cask and vintage theories here in this thread, I have no comment until Tuesday. Not even a
.
But Iâm curious: Whatâs your guess? Whoâs bottling it, and where will the cask strength land?
The dates are set: Presale for RX+ members on Friday 28.08., 10:00 a.m. Public sale for everyone from Monday 31.08., 10:00 a.m. If you donât want to miss anything, sign up for the waitlist on the page. ![]()
A bottling by Richard ?
Isnât it already past 10:00?
Is it already 28.08.??? ![]()
Still putting the finishing touches on it. Sorry ![]()
Ah okay, sorry then @Chrischi78
Like vultures.
Next time write ÂŤprobably 10 oâclockÂť.
KrĂśger is RumX 7th co-bottler ![]()
.Surprise?I donât think so, due to all Hallo on RumX last 6 months.![]()
3000 bottles, enough for the âŚ(

The full background information is currently being uploaded to the website and will be visible at Wagemut The Origin: 10 Jahre Foursquare in Fassstärke | RumX in about 30 minutes. The Super-

And one thing I want to emphasize explicitly: This is not a nerd release.
The Savanna was one. Single cask, brutal flavor profile, 445 bottles, almost âŹ300, gone after 90 seconds. After that came quite a few (annoyed/angry/upset) messages from people who came up empty, and they were all right. When a release sells out so quickly that half the community can only watch, thatâs not a ÂťsuccessfulÂŤ launch, but a distribution problem.
Thatâs why this time weâre doing it differently on purpose: significantly higher volume, broader target audience. The Origin is the perfect rum for everyone who loves Foursquare. And especially for those who still have little experience with cask strength and want to get a taste of the world that we ÂťnerdsÂŤ all love so much: craftsmanship, cask strength, no additives, and beautiful, intense tropical maturation. Itâs not (just) all about us nerds. Itâs also about those who want to become one. ![]()
Whatâs still in it for you
The most common criticism of the PX series here in the forum and in the app reviews was always similar: The sherry overpowers the base and brings (way) too much sweetness. Now you get that base on its own. Without PX sherry, without dilution, without additives. And because thereâs no more PX in it, the label also shows what many missed with Wagemut: Rum. ![]()

About the price: The number comes on August 25. Just so you know, weâve deliberately calculated it so that the entry really is one. ![]()

Nice approach, but as much as I like Foursquare: personally, I canât buy any more of it, Iâve just already got too much Foursquare. ![]()
But Iâm curious about the reviews.
Maybe a schooner rigged as a Velier for guests ![]()

Only the best for our guests ![]()
When can I come by? ![]()

Whenever youâre in the Rhineland sometime
. What could be nicer than enjoying good wine in good company.
I was able to try it in advance and can only affirm: No nerdy stuff, no FOMO nonsense, but rather a good rum at a fair price â something almost anyone can afford and an ideal introduction for everyone to experience cask strength in a beginner-friendly way without being overwhelmed.
I see the rum more as a bridge builder to allow people to try Wagemut rum authentically, so to speak, without the makeup, and to get more people into cask strength and honest, genuine rum.
I donât think we nerds & hardliners are the target audience here, and thatâs okay too.![]()
I donât really feel addressed by it either ![]()
