Rum and tonic is great! My favourite is with RX10891.

What rum did you use and how did you find it?

I used Plantation Three Stars (RX116), which is great value for money in my opinion. Regarding the recipe: I recommend to cut down on the simple syrup, if you use canned pineapple.

What is great about the recipe: as you prefreeze most ingredients, it is perfect for stockpiling or prebatching for a larger number of cocktails. You need a blender, however.

Tonight, a cocktail from minimalist tiki I wanted to try since a long time!

I really can’t make the transition to zero soft drinks, not even in cocktails/mixed drinks. The sweetness just tastes too artificial to me. If I want to taste chemical, I just go for Fiji rums with the chemical / mineral flavor palate :man_shrugging::sweat_smile:

Any other experiences?

I have tried about 10 different types of cola with rum and none of them come close to full fat coke cola . I do wish there was a healthier alternative though…
