I’m Matthias, 42, from Magdeburg, Germany. I’ve been on RumX since May and active in the forum since yesterday.
Up until now, I had consciously avoided consuming alcohol. Sure, I tried a thing or two in my younger years, but the quality and taste of the stuff—fortunately—kept me from binge drinking, or rather, put me right off it.
I stumbled upon videos by Mr. Kröger by chance, and I have to admit, his open, honest, and enthusiastic manner really piqued my curiosity. I started out with his beginner’s tasting set and various advent calendars to get to know the different styles of rum.
I’ve since developed a taste for sampling aged spirits, as they offer an incomparably rich and intense flavor experience.
With that said, let’s see where the journey leads.
