I occasionally order samples on the forum and always get offered 2 types of shipping, with or without tracking. Since I’m from BE, and the price difference between these two is pretty significant (5-6€), I opted twice for the shipping without tracking.
Unfortunately, both times the package got lost and doesn’t get delivered at all!
I honestly don’t know why this happens and it makes me rather mad.
Is it ignorant from me to try and take the cheapest option?
Is there a way to track down what happened?
What are your experiences?
I tried without tracking once and it took more than one month to come, when I thought the package was lost long ago… I didn’t choose that option again.
Hi Philip, it sucks to hear both your parcels got lost. Hopefully they are just delayed like Rod’s packages.
I sometimes get samples shipped without insurance. For the same reason as you: 16 euros from DE to NL weighs heavily on the price per cl. So far all packages arrived. Sometimes even a bit faster than when insured (or at least, that was my idea). So there is still hope!
I tried once without tracking and it took an extra week to come from Germany to UK and the difference is 15+ euros but with the more expensive samples it’s not worth the risk…
