I thought creating this post would help forum users starting out when cocktail making in terms of the different brands of liqueurs available and the different price points. Please add to this so we can make this another enclyopedia on the forum!
The vedrenne is £10.99 (thought I would try it as it’s usually £16.99). The giffard banana du bresil is £18.75. I tried both in a beach bum rum runner (flash blended) and the giffards blended better within the cocktail and you could taste it unlike the vedrenne. I know some of you have done something similar for orgeat in Mai Tai’s but I’ve think it would be good to have all of this knowledge in one post. ..
Does anyone have a recommendation for a solid peach liqueur solely used for Cocktails? The amount of different options is so overwhelming and I couldn’t find any useful information online.
To begin with, thanks for the reply. I might have made a confusing comment previously. I’m not looking for Cocktail recommendations but for product recommendations for peach liqueur preferably available within/from Europe. There’s just so many different products out there so my hope was someone who already tried a few different products could help me either with peach liqueurs where one should stay away from because they are bad (e.g. too sweet/too artificial) or with recommendations for products above average qualitywise.
Giffards Creme de mure VS Briottet creme de mure. Too close in taste but the Giffard’s is generally cheaper in the UK. Does anyone else have any others to try in a Rum Runner?
