Je voudrais connaître votre avis sur ce rhum que je viens de récupérer dans la cave de mon grand père

Don’t expect too much…
You excuse if my french is not good enough for an Answer.
Sce St-Raphael was quite an iconic quinqina producer and until its decline, quite a big b2b seller of spirits. They basically sold Rhum under the St. Gilles brand since the 20s until the 80s. I am not completely with Marius (Single Cask Rum Blos)on the dating, i would put you bottle in the mid to lat siyties until early to mid 70s.
It is a pretty standard offering that still is rather good available, it is molasses blend, that would have come most probably from Martinique, Guadeloupe and Reunion.
They themselves will probably have bought the materials from the big importing houses in bordeaux and elsewhere and made a blend for the ‘gout metropolitaine’.
Dont expect wonders, in that time and pricepoint it was meant to be mixed. But certainly it is not bad!
