Which Enmore 1992?

Suppose you had to choose between the RX13722 and RX26190 — which one would you go for?

Price-wise, I could have gotten the Sponge for a bit cheaper than the Nobilis — but that shouldn’t be the deciding factor.

Thanks in advance for your assessment!

Just tasted it over the weekend together with the FRC along with @MoparRules
However, under somewhat unequal conditions. I still had about 1.5 cl of meanwhile oxidized Sponge and a fresh bottle of the Nobilis.

To be honest, I found all three bottlings very similar. The Nobilis is somewhat more powerful and edgier, has more dark flavors, the Sponge was minimally fruitier, somewhat smoother (but that’s also partly due to the oxidation). I especially like the 1992 for its dark flavors between Maggi and dark chocolate.

The FRC was the sweetest, the Sponge the fruitiest, the Nobilis the spiciest.

@Jakob tasted it cross-tasted recently I think, maybe he has a stronger opinion than I do.

Thanks so much for the feedback. Yes, I’d already tried the Nobilis at Dirk’s place and thought it was fantastic. I suspected that the Sponge had a bit more fruit character, so thanks for confirming that.

Let’s be honest, in the end I want both anyway and I’ll probably go for the Sponge bottle first and just hope that soon there’s enough money for the Nobilis again before it’s gone :joy:

According to my reviews, I found the Sponge better, but unfortunately the one from the Sponge is older. I’m afraid I’m missing a direct comparison.

I find the Sponge a bit better because of the fruitiness. But I haven’t been able to compare them side by side unfortunately.

BUT, if you want both and can afford it, get both. Absolutely fantastic bottlings in my opinion.

And the Sponge for around €400 is a very good price.

Thanks for your feedback. I can already tell this is going to be another expensive cup of tea :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
