Ich habe meine mit den Vakuum-Verschlüssen vom Wein verschlossen ! Bis jetzt ohne Geschmacksverlust! Beim Korken sagt man meines Erachtens ungefähr 1 Jahr haltbar mit deutlich schwächer werdendem Alkohol! So ist mein derzeitiger Kenntnisstand 😌 ---

Mir ist aufgefallen, dass vor allem high ester Rums nach einem Jahr deutlich an Intensität verlieren, daher überlagere ich meine guten Tropfen für eine längere Lagerung mit Argon Gas. ---

Sollte jemand noch eine Flasche der Elliot Erwitt Flaschen abzugeben haben (leer oder voll) schickt mir gerne mal eine PN. Mein Papa ist Fotograf und Elliot Erwitt Fan. Ich bereue etwas nicht beim Release zugeschlagen zu haben, würde mich aber freuen ihm eine Flasche als Deko ins Arbeitszimmer stellen zu können. ---

Ich bin gerade auf den Azoren im Urlaub und heute über diese Likörfabrik gestolpert: [http://www.mulherdecapote.pt/](http://www.mulherdecapote.pt/) Laut Aussage des Guides in der Fabrik bauen sie seit 10 Jahren Zuckerrohr an und lagern es in Fässern. Seit “kurzem” gibt es einen ungelagerten “Rum” (37,5%). Den habe ich aus einem Plastikbecherchen probieren können: Nase interessant, Rest nicht erwähnenswert. Laut dem Guide planen sie nächstes Jahr den “dark Rum” herauszubringen. Eventuell auch als spiced Rum. Da ahnt man schon wohin die Reise geht… Leider war niemand von Personal zu sprechen, das für die Lagerung verantwortlich ist. Ich hätte gerne mal eine Fassprobe genommen. Lustig war aber dass vor der Fabrik ein Laster mit frisch geerntetem Zuckerrohr vorbei kam, inklusive der Arbeiter: die saßen auf dem Berg Zuckerrohr auf dem fahrenden Laster 😁 Auch der Rest der Produkte sind überwiegend Liköre… Es ist also leider nicht zu erwarten dass hier interessante Abfüllungen herkommen werden. ---

Ich finde, das ist ein richtig schönes und interessantes Programm, Seal’sche Gehirnwäsche inkludiert. 😀 Der Preis ist auch nicht abschreckend, die Reisekosten sind’s halt, Barbados ist kein Billigland. ---

Ich möchte hier über meine positive Erfahrung mit Rum&Co berichten: Ich hatte letzte Woche einen “Impulskauf” des Nobilis St Lucia 1999. Der Rum ist inzwischen im Rumdepot im Angebot und auf Nachfrage habe ich den Differenzbetrag erstattet bekommen. Wohlgemerkt: nach Zustellung, und ohne weitere Nachfrage. Hätte ja sein können, das ich die Flasche schon geöffnet habe und damit nicht mehr von Widerrufsrecht Gebrauch machen kann. Sehr professionelle und freundliche Kommunikation. ---

Vor vielen Jahren und als ich noch nicht wußte, wie Rum neben Bacadi und Stroh 80 noch schmecken kann habe ich gerne Rumkugeln gegessen. Heute würde ich die nicht mehr kaufen aber ich kann ja selbst versuchen welche herzustellen… Nach dem Motte “Jedes Produkt ist nur so gut, wie die schlechteste seiner Zutaten” habe ich mich an die Arbeit gemacht. Ich liebe deutsche Lebkuchen zu viel. Das weckt Erinnerungen an die Zeit, als ich besser Deutsch als Englisch sprach und oft dorthin ging. Ich glaube, ich liebte eine Art von Lebkuchen, die Sie Nürnberger Lebkuchen nennen… Heute kompensiere ich den Mangel mit denen aus dem LIDL 😁 🤣 ---
