Heute mal was aus den Anfängen der Rum-Reise „revisited“ 🙂 Der geringe ABV ist wahrlich nicht ideal - dennoch ist das der beste Kubaner den ich bis jetzt probiert habe. Ok, ich fürchte mein LMDW Sample hat zu lange halb voll rumgestanden. Es konnte heute nicht ganz mithalten, aber ich denke das liegt an der Oxidation – habe den eigentlich noch ganz gut in Erinnerung. Der Herrline ist auf Augenhöhe mit dem LMDW (aus dem Gedächtnis). Eventuell mach ich zeitnah ne neue Flasche LMDW auf um das zu verifizieren. Also einer der besseren/besten TH1. Ein Herrline #1 Ersatz ist es aber nicht – wenig überraschend, reiner HERR ist halt noch mal ne andere Hausnummer. Alkohol ist prima eingebunden. Das ganze > Cask #215 holds a **beast** : a bold, one-of-a-kind fusion of Trad C20 and HERR Rum, both aged 8 years. This TH1 cask strength release **hits hard** and carves its place in legend. > 🔥 **Loud. Rare. Unfiltered.** > This juice doesn’t whisper. **It roars.** > “An intense rum that adds to the Legend.” – Mika > HERRLINE Edition **not for the faint of heart.**" würde ich mal als Marketing bla-bla abtun. So crazy ist der nun auch wieder nicht. Trinkt sich gut, ist lecker und macht Spaß. Muss man dem für 180€ hinterher hechten? Ich werde es nicht tun. Zu Flipper-Preisen schon gar nicht. Da guck ich lieber ob noch mal ein LMDW für 140€ vorbei schwimmt. ---

Auf dem Bild isses die alte Variante aus 2015. Ob “Anejo Superior” (alt) und “Extra Anejo” (neu) ein Hinweis auf die Änderung vom Rezept ist, keine Ahnung. Well…. Ich hatte eigentlich keine Santiago de Cuba tasting für den Abend erwartet, aber wenn die Bar es her gibt… 🤷🏻‍♂️😂 ![IMG_2805](https://community.rum-x.com/uploads/default/original/3X/1/1/11e493d8bc92ac8dc510516557c3ff6804b98fad.jpeg) Long story short: ich als Amateur kann den 11y nicht an der Spitze sehen. An der Nase gewinnt der 20y mit den meisten (getrockneten) Früchten. Am Gaumen ist der 20y am „dünnsten“ und der 25y mein Favorit. Der 11y kann für mich in beiden Kategorien nicht gewinnen… Intensität ist gut, Profil auch in Ordnung für einen low proof column still Rum, aber insgesamt fehlt schon die Reife, dass er mich wirklich umhauen würde. Für den Preis ist der 11y (hier: alte Version), allerdings durchaus einen Blick wert. I hope this helps 🙂 ---

Hammer! 🔨 🔨 🔨 😂 Sehr geil! Danke für deine Eindrücke! Überrascht mich ehrlich gesagt nicht. Serge hatte den 11 & 20 nacheinander und den 25 sechs Jahre später. Der 20er war ihm zu rund und er fand den 11er kantiger mit mehr Persönlichkeit 🤷‍♂️ Welche Bar ist das, wenn ich fragen darf? Sehe da geht auch ein kleines Fortaleza Tasting. Scheint top ausgestattet zu sein. ---
