At least in terms of age, Iā€™m more inclined to believe this statement: > The carefully crafted blend consists of molasses rums that were allowed to mature for up to 8 years in ex-bourbon barrels, which gives it depth and a rounded character. With an alcohol content of 45% vol., it offers an intense yet elegant drinking experience. > [https://spirit-italia.com/SKID-ROW-18-and-Life-35th-Anniversary-Ultra-Premium-Rum-45-Vol-07l](https://spirit-italia.com/SKID-ROW-18-and-Life-35th-Anniversary-Ultra-Premium-Rum-45-Vol-07l?utm_source=rumx&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=rumx-forum) An 18-year-old rum and then a merchandise markup on top of that would be much more expensive than the original ā‚¬70. A maximum of 8 years and probably sweetened fits much better. And at ā‚¬10, itā€™s also a bargain. If I were a fan of the band, Iā€™d go for it. . ---

The bottler itself speaks of 18 years: > **[Skid Row Spirits - 18 and Life Ultra Premium Rum](https://brandsforfans.com/de/produkt/skid-row-spirits-18-and-life-ultra-premium-rum/?utm_source=rumx&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=rumx-forum)** > > Skid Row 18 and Life Ultra Premium Rum ist ein einzigartiger und fesselnder 18-jƤhriger Rum, der die Kunst der Rumdestillation aus Guyana mit europƤischen Reifungsmethoden verbindet. I would guess that the 8 years is the maturation in Guyana and the rest of the time was spent in Europe. According to the (EU-recognized) rules in Guyana, the age statement is determined by the youngest component. At Urban Drinks, some of the ā€œBrands for Fansā€ contract bottlings are listed for ā‚¬9.90. I think the only person who could tell you anything about the taste before the thing sells out is the deal creator: [https://www.mydealz.de/deals/skid-row-18-and-life-premium-rum-2831823#reply-59154794](https://www.mydealz.de/deals/skid-row-18-and-life-premium-rum-2831823?utm_source=rumx&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=rumx-forum#reply-59154794) When I saw the fresh deal 2 days ago, 897 bottles could still be added to the cart, now itā€™s only 307. I wouldnā€™t expect fast shipping, the store has hundreds of bottles to ship starting tomorrow. Even if the sales pace for the rum has slowed down now, I wouldnā€™t count on anyone here having a chance to taste it before itā€™s all gone. The sell-off has probably been going on since the 27th. ![Screenshot_20260830-212124(1)](https://community.rumx.com/uploads/default/original/3X/d/a/da8a5d4e913ba511c079c4428beb81423ade55ac.png) (With this gin, Idealo tracked the storeā€™s sales on Amazon) ---
