Could be a 2016 vintage, since it’s 10 years old. Not many have hit the market yet. Maybe the other half of the cask will come to market later. But it could also be a sister cask to the very delicious RumClub bottling [RX24839](https://rumx.com/en/rums/24839/). ---

No sugar, no filtration, no color. And the 51.61% in the title is exactly what it looks like: the angel’s share. More than half has evaporated over the years. What’s left, we’re bottling. Single cask, brutal flavor profile, 445 bottles, almost €300, gone after 90 seconds. After that came quite a few (annoyed/angry/upset) messages from people who came up empty, and they were all right. When a release sells out so quickly that half the community can only watch, that’s not a »successful« launch, but a distribution problem. That’s why this time we’re doing it differently on purpose: significantly higher volume, broader target audience. The Origin is the perfect rum for everyone who loves Foursquare. And especially for those who still have little experience with cask strength and want to get a taste of the world that we »nerds« all love so much: craftsmanship, cask strength, no additives, and beautiful, intense tropical maturation. It’s not (just) all about us nerds. It’s also about those who want to become one. 😉 **What’s still in it for you** The most common criticism of the PX series here in the forum and in the app reviews was always similar: The sherry overpowers the base and brings (way) too much sweetness. Now you get that base on its own. Without PX sherry, without dilution, without additives. I was able to try it in advance and can only affirm: No nerdy stuff, no FOMO nonsense, but rather a good rum at a fair price — something almost anyone can afford and an ideal introduction for everyone to experience cask strength in a beginner-friendly way without being overwhelmed. I see the rum more as a bridge builder to allow people to try Wagemut rum authentically, so to speak, without the makeup, and to get more people into cask strength and honest, genuine rum. I don’t think we nerds & hardliners are the target audience here, and that’s okay too.😃 ---
