Kann ich gut nachvollziehen, Single Estate 7 years & Overproof sind damals halt die ersten beiden mit großer Spannung erwarteten tropisch gereiften Direktabfüllungen der Distillery nach dem “Reopening” gewesen - und der Release erfolgte nicht nur aus heutiger Sicht zu verdammt guten Preisen!🥰 Allerdings sehe ich persönlich zwischen “den großen Brüdern” Overproof Batch 1 & Batch 2 HLCF nicht nur einen kleinen, feinen Unterschied, sondern tatsächlich einen enormen! Für mich ist Batch 1 (“Mr. Balance”) um Welten besser als Batch 2, der für mich aufgrund der Frische & Fruchtigkeit lediglich als sehr guter Premium-Mixer im Daiquiri/MaiTai taugt. ---

Ist denn der Unterschied beim [RX11](https://rumx.com/en/rums/11/) und [RX3128](https://rumx.com/en/rums/3128/) auch so gravierend? Immerhin beide 8 Jahre gelagert, bei dem Overproof sind da ja schon 4 Jahre Unterschied. ---

Von den zwei ziemlich ähnlichen"kleinen Brüdern" ist m.E. Batch 2 der mit der besseren Balance, Batch 1 ist etwas funkier - beides absolut top Trinkstärke-Hampden (da kommt von den kontinentalen Versionen für mich lediglich der Kill Devil 1998 HLCF 46% heran). Mit dem Devil & dem Single Estate #1 habe ich damals tatsächlich so einige Leute im Bekanntenkreis vom Whisky zum Rum (& mittlerweile auch sogar zum Rhum!) bringen können… ---

Man merkt den Unterschied schlicht wegen dem fehlenden höherwertigen Mark ab dem 2. Batch. Aber wie mein Vorredner sagt, und man bedenke das ich einen Punkt unterschied gegeben habe; batch 1 ist der bessere Hampden aber batch 2 ist der bessere Rum… ---

Ich persönlich fand den Unterschied zwischen den beiden Overproof qualitativ jetzt nicht so stark, dass ich mich noch mit dem Batch 1 bevorraten müsste. Für mich sind beide toll, vor allem im Mai Tai. ---

Gott sei Dank sind die Geschmäcker verschieden! Wäre sonst ja auch eine ziemlich langweilige Szene…😊 Ich fand den HLCF “straight” leider eine kleine Enttäuschung & habe dann tatsächlich nochmal Batch 1 für lausige 63 Euro (🤣) nachgerüstet. Der geht immer & ist bei Gästen stets beliebt. Hoffe nun auf einen guten 3. Batch!🥰 ---
