Hat jemand eine Idee, woran das liegt? Würde mich tatsächlich mal interessieren. Minderwertige Korken? Liegend gelagert? Muss ja eine Ursache haben. ---

Einfach nur alt. Stehend gelagert und dann trocknet das Zeug halt aus. Beim Wein, der zumeist liegend gelagert wird, passiert das nicht. So wäre meine Theorie ---

Denke ich auch. Oft aber auch eine Mischung aus beiden. Also einmal im Monat die Sammlung auf dem Kopf stellen 😅 ---

Ich hatte Bröselkorken auch schon bei Flaschen, die erst vor ein paar Jahren abgefüllt wurden. Problem ist häufig, dass der Korken mal ordentlich feucht wurde (z.B. durch langen Transport im Liegen) und sich dabei ausgedehnt hat. Dadurch verklebt er beim Trocknen mit der Innenseite der Glasflasche. Wenn die Flasche anschließend noch in einer trockenen Umgebung gelagert wird, wird der Korken spröde und beim Öffnen der Flasche gibt der Korken eher nach als die Verklebung mit dem Flaschenglas. ---

das wäre mal eine interessante Frage, wie muss Rum richtig gelagert werden abgesehen von kühl bis temperiert, ohne große Temperaturschwankungen, keine UV Strahlung oder helles Licht und, m.E., aufrecht. Bei Wein ist das anders, da muss der Korken feucht bleiben, deswegen immer liegend. Wenn er zu lange aufrecht steht, wird der Kork porös und bröselig. Was auch beim Rum passieren kann, wenn den jemand mal flach gelegt hat und dann wieder stellt. ---

Soweit mir bekannt ist, sollen stark alkoholische Getränke, also Spirituosen, dazu gehört grundsätzlich alles über 20 % Alkoholgehalt, immer stehend gelagert werden. Dieses ist notwendig, da der Alkohol sonst den Korken zerfrisst und dieser dann undicht wird. Aber man darf den Korken auch nicht austrocknen lassen und so sollte man mindestens einmal im Jahr durch seine Anhäufung gehen und jede Flasche für ca. 2 - 5 Sekunden auf den Kopf drehen, damit sich der Korken wieder etwas befeuchten kann und dicht bleibt. . ---
