I think a bottle auction would be great. And, after thinking about it a bit more, perhaps we could focus the relief for people in the rum industry since it’s what brought Jamaica to most member’s attention. As I mentioned above, I can ask Joy and Jahnine (the JSAERE GM) how we can help there and touch base with Andrew and Peppie from Hampden on how we can split what we can with them. ---

There is absolutely no infrastructure remaining in Black River. It could be months before they have electricity! ---

Es ist schon verheerend was Melisse angerichtet hat. Wie es auch immernoch in Black River aussieht, die Menschen wohnen teilweise noch in Notunterkünften oder in ihren Ruinen, die Regierung macht da nicht viel. Die Stromleitungen z.B., haben die Kanadier spendiert und repariert. Da wo Geld da ist geht es schneller voran. Was die Jungs da bei Hampden und Appleton in der Zeit geschafft haben ist bemerkenswert. Appleton hat erst am 14.4. wieder für Gäste geöffnet, Hampden kurz vorher. Die Veränderungen zu Bildern von vorher sind enorm. Appleton hat 8000 Fässer verloren ,ham sie erzählt, bei Hampden weiß ich’s nicht.
